Sweet and Sour Sauce

Here's a delicious oriental sauce recipe you can use for won tons, egg rolls, or lumpia. It is quick and easy, and makes about 1 1/4 cups of Sweet and Sour Sauce.

4 tablespoons catsup
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons wine vinegar
2 tablespoons dry white wine
1 tablespoon chopped pineapple (optional)
1 tablespoon pineapple juice (optional)
2 tablespoons cornstarch dissolved in 1/2 cup cold water

Combine catsup, sugar, soy sauce, wine, vinegar, pineapple and pineapple juice (if using) in a saucepan, and bring to a boil. Add the cornstarch and water mixture gradually, stirring constantly. Sauce is done in a few minutes when thickened.
